Following on from the last post, not long after Dr. Martens brought out the limited edition Tattoo Collection, with artwork by me, Grez and OT, they took me along with them to the world-famous Rebellion punk festival in Blackpool.
If there’s one thing you can count on at Rebellion (apart from punk music obviously and a huge amount of booze), it’s a lot of leather, mohawks and Docs. They wanted to give festival-goers a few perks when visiting the Dr. Martens stall. So along with top barber @paulyharmer who was there to give all the punks free trims and tidy-ups, I also came along for the ride to customise festival-goers’ DM boots.
I got to meet a lot of characters, as well as creating some awesome artworks to make their boots truly one-of-a-kind. Also a good option for anyone who missed out on scoring the pair I designed!
Obviously, Rebellion didn’t happen this year, but it’ll hopefully be back next year. And probably with Dr. Martens in attendance… let me know if you spot a pair of my custom boots in the wild!
